Your Role
As a Platform Migration consultant you´ll work with a data protection project.
Your daily work will include;
-De-installation of the legacy backup agent software if applicable. In case restore of retention data is needed, the legacy agent is kept to allow legacy restores after the client migration.
-Implementation of Base Application Agent.
- Installation & Configuration of the application agents (platform: Windows/Linux/Unix type: virtual or physical / this could be: file agents, Active Directory agents).
-Functional & Design Validation testing.Implementation of the advanced application agent if needed.
-Installation & Configuration of the Complex Application Agent (platform: Windows/Linux/Unix type: virtual or physical / this could be: Oracle db agents, SQL db agents, MySQL db agents, Exchange agents, SAP db agents, MS Sharepoint db agents, DB2 db agents).
-Functional & Design Validation testing;
-Implementation of virtual server agent if needed
-Installation & Configuration of the VMWARE agent
-Functional & Design Validation testing.
-Enable and configure File System Archiving where needed
-Enable and configure the OnePass archiving agent
Minimum Qualifications
As a Platform Migration Consultant you have experience/knowledge of most platforms, industry leading backup applications (including commvault backup and archiving procedures is not essential but will advantageous) including:
-In depth knowledge/famialarity of most Platforms
-Industry leading backup application
-De-installation/installation of backup client agents
-Installation of CV backup agents
-Awareness of CV backup/archiving/restore procedures
-Teamwork but being able to work unsupervised and therefore resourceful
Incident reporting and management
Project working language is English.
