Job description
In this position you're responsible for developing innovative, flexible and scalable solutions, driving the automation and adoption of DevOps processes both on premise and on the Cloud. As a DevOps Engineer, you will design, develop, and deliver the products and services as they operate in a world where a few extra milliseconds of latency can create or eliminate clear business advantages to our customers.
The successful candidate will have a strong command of designing and implementing the CI/CD pipelines and Cloud initiatives, working side-by-side with the Architecture & Application Development teams.
Most importantly, we are looking for a candidate who possesses a drive and passion in taking the primary thought leadership and execution role in creating innovative, state of the art products and services that want to consistently push the industry and our business to new levels.
This position is preferably in Gothenburg, but it is possible to work remotely within Sweden where we prefer that you can visit the office in Gothenburg 1-2 times a month. You will report to the Cloud Manager based in the US.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Application Architects, Developers, and System Engineers to capture functional and non-functional requirements.
- Design and implement extensions to the existing DevOps, CI/CD tools, and build manegement processes.
- Design, implement and drive the adoption of containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Design, develop a scalable infrastructure with Azure, and eventually AWS, and continue to grow your skills in running secure and scalable applications for highly available, multi-region, Azure/AWS deployments.
- Create new self-service solutions in order to push the boundaries of the automation capabilities.
- Design load balancing, failover, and alerting systems for best-in-class 24x7 high availability across all services.
- Continuously identify process improvement in the development and production environments and develop appropriate resolutions.
- Collaborate with software development team in the design and implementation of continuous delivery solutions.
- Generate proper designs, diagrams and documentation and present to stakeholders.
- Use Agile methods (Scrum/Kanban) to organize project deliverables, to track and to report progress.
- Support operations, meeting reliability and capacity requirements per company SLA and internal BCP/DR policies.
- Participate in rotating on-call duties. 24/7 ownership of the stack and available to support in the event of systems failure.
- Participate in timely post-mortems of production incidents.
- Drive quarterly objectives to completion (OKRs).
Qualifications
- Experience with cloud solutions, including VPC, EC2, S3, ECS, EKS, RDS, ALB/NLB.
- Experience of being responsible for deploying and managing SaaS applications in Azure at a product company.
- Experience of managed Azure services including Azure Application Gateway, Azure SQL, Azure App Service, Azure Storage, Azure Application Insights.
- Experience with managing deployment and operations of high performing IT projects.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Server administration, Active Directory, Microsoft IIS and PowerShell scripting.
- Experience of deploying and managing applications running on virtual machines (both Linux and Windows).
- Strong experience with application telemetry, monitoring and alerting solutions (Splunk, PagerDuty, CloudWatch or similar).
- Strong experience with networking (HTTP, HTTPS, Telnet, SSH, Firewall, VPN, Routing and Load Balancing).
- Experience with penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, log/configuration and management systems.
- Experience with containers and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience deploying and managing the operations of SaaS applications using Kubernetes at a product company.
- Experience delivering robust DevOps solutions at a product company.
- Expert in DevOps and CI/CD concepts, practices and tools.
- Experience of Azure DevOps.
- Strong programming skills with Linux shell scripts, i.e., Bash or similar.
- Good understanding of agile development.
- Strong Experience with Linux and open-source software.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline.
