Right now, we’re searching for a Backend Engineer (CIAM) in our Stockholm office - are you ready to hit play on an exciting career change?

The role
As a Backend Engineer(CIAM) at Viaplay, you will have the opportunity to build the most sought-after streaming service in the Nordics. You will be at the forefront of digital media and develop the platform for our continuously growing user base. Your engagement will shape the future of our service as you will be involved in defining the future for video on demand. You will be part of growing the platform, enhance our user experience, and create the next generation of streaming services.

You will join a cross-functional team and deliver engineering solutions aligned with technical and product long-term visions. The team consists right now of several backend developers and is responsible for handling customer authentication and part of the user data for making the service scalable and resilient. The team’s mission is to envision a world where we enable customers to have a smooth and safe start to the Viaplay experience, where they get authenticated and presented with the content they are authorized to use and play content on Viaplay. What we’re looking for
We understand you may feel confident ticking certain boxes more than others and that’s why we always keep an open mind in our recruitment process. But, in order to thrive in this role, we do believe you’ll have at least some experience in the following:

- Experience working with Customer Identity Access Management.

- Experience with JWT-Tokens at large scale and knowledge with oAuth2/OpenidConnect.

- Building solid and high performing micro-services in Node.js, Microservice/Serverless architecture.

- Using multiple programming paradigms and languages.

- Working in a production environment supported by Docker hosted in the Amazon Cloud.

- Experience in working with NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB.

- Working with product iterations based on consumer feedback and behavior data.

It’s a bonus if you have:

- Experience working with a state-less and high transactional end-user product.

- Experience working with Edge/CDN computing and AWS Cognito

- Experience with Public Key Information and Saml federations.

- Experience on developing applications with Rust.

- Having good understanding and experience with Agile Development Process, Pair/Mob Programming.
