The Team

We are a growing software development and engineering team passionate about delivering software used by patients and healthcare professionals in Clinical Studies. Clinical Studies are at the core of AstraZeneca business, and this is an outstanding chance to create a paradigm shift in how technology is used to empower and interact with patients.

The product development and engineering organization consists of several self-organized/managed teams having the people, skills, and resources to deliver their part of the product. We are working with agile methodology delivering a new release of the software product with program increments every quarter.

About the role

The Squad Lead is responsible for providing technical leadership for development of our frontend mobile app and web portal solutions. This is a hands-on and strategic role which works closely with product, design, engineering and regulatory to design, build and launch patient centric digital experiences. The successful candidate will lead and manage a software engineering team to deliver innovative software solutions of high quality used by our patients and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, testers, design and business analyst
*

Ensure collaboration between several other engineering teams

*

Work with stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure they are met with the software solution
*

Act as tech lead in the team
*

Hands-on contribution to software design and code
*

Leading the delivery of software solutions aligned to regulatory requirements, product roadmaps and goals

Essential for the role

*

8+ years hands-on experience as a software engineer
*

In-depth knowledge of building software frontend solutions and platforms
*

Confirmed experience of leading people
*

Significant experience of using Agile approaches

*

Experience in modern front-end frameworks building web and mobile app applications

Desirable

*

React/React Native, Regulatory knowledge, i.e GxP, SaMD validation or similar
