Data Engineer
Join the team responsible for developing the real-time sports tracking system that runs at major soccer arenas every match day. TRACAB’s image tracking system is the world’s most accurate optical player tracking system and is used by top football leagues across the world. TRACAB covers all games in the FIFA World Cup, Bundesliga and LaLiga.

The Role:
You will have responsibility for building and maintaining a machine learning database to support the ongoing improvement, analysis and testing of AI products for the professional sports market. You will work closely with our developers to create functionality and tools to harness the large quantities of data we have available.
This role is with TRACAB’s Computer Vision and Machine Learning team in Stockholm, Sweden.
Requirements:
- Experience working with setting up and maintaining a database for machine learning containing large amounts of data, including images and video.
- Familiarity with best practices for achieving this both in the Cloud or on a local NAS.
- Knowledge of how to make the data access fast, easy and efficient for developers.
- Experience with setting up automatic data handling scripts, e.g. to update, analyze and curate data.
- Experience with a Cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud.
Desirable (nice to have):
Experience with:
- technologies such as Jenkins, TeamCity, Bitbucket Pipeline etc.
- setting up continuous integrations in Visual Studio-based environments (C++)
- setting up complex test environments that run unit tests, short-running tests (10 min) and long-running tests (10+ hours) on multiple agents.
- cloud testing
