What we offer
In our cluster Insights and Product Development Support (IPDS) we are now hiring one Solution Architect. The cluster’s main goal is to support different stakeholders with digital solutions and we are working with enabling product development within Volvo Cars with digital tools and solutions. We also work with leveraging insights and analytics to support in the development of new products and services. The cluster is using a wide array of technologies and platforms and the stakeholders are spread out both internally within Volvo Cars and externally at our partners.
To be successful with our mission, the cluster consists of 7 different products where Product Owners, Scrum Masters and product teams work alongside. We work according to the agile framework SAFe to deliver value to the products that are aligned to the architectural runway. 
What you’ll do
The Solution Architect defines a common technical and architectural vision/runway for the cluster and participates in defining the systems, functions, modules, interfaces, validates technology assumptions, and evaluates alternatives within the solution context. 
We are looking for someone that can have an agile approach to designing and building systems and have a systems-thinking mindset. Someone with customer centric design thinking that can guide and lead the product teams to moving in the right direction and help us in continuing our transformation towards a DevOps future. You will work closely with the teams in our cluster and help them align their products into the architectural runway, always with quality in mind.
You will be working with other Solution Architects outside the cluster such as R&D architects as well as with our existing Solution Architect in the IPDS cluster. The role will be focusing on data flow from vehicles which indicates that the solutions and architectural runway you design will focus to support vehicle data.  
You will also participate in Program Increment (PI) Planning, System and Solution Demos, and Inspect and Adapt events where you support the teams as well as the Product Manager and Product Owners. 
Do you fit the profile?
Most likely you have a good understanding of key data concepts such as Warehouses, Marts, Lakes and Data Product along with experience of challenges and possibilities using the cloud. You are curious and interested in people and you probably have experience from defining architectures in multiple different platforms. 
You like to discuss and interact with stakeholders and hosts a holistic architectural and business mindset. You have a broad technical background and are up to date with the latest best practices in the industry when it comes to IT Architecture, and maybe you have a certification within this area as well. 
.Net / React on Azure cloud are familiar techniques to you, and you really like discuss things such as Kubernetes, Service Mesh and Data Management.
Who are you?
You are a team player with an open, positive and service oriented mindset, and you like to organize and plan things in a structured way as well as delivering on time.
You are also driven and have a customer-centric mindset, with the ability to take initiative and see your efforts through to resolution. Most likely you also have experience from coaching, guiding and leading others.
As a person you like building relationships within a varied community and have the ability to inspire and influence others.
