Data Engineer to Vetfamily

We are looking for a self-driven, structured Data Warehouse Engineer to join our IT & BI team and lead the work in extending the Financial Data Warehouse into an insight generating business platform. We are looking for candidates with understanding of ERP systems and Financial Book Keeping and having a track record of operating system with a multitude of sources. The right candidate will find an exciting role leading a highly prioritized project within the financially stable and fast growing international Vimian Group.

What you will do:

- Take over ownership of the established, well architectured and documented data warehouse platform which runs on Azure with Data factory, Synapse and powerBI.

- Ensure the integrity of the dataware house architecture as you extend it with additional sources of data.

- Continuously extend the pipelines as new companies are acquired and onboarded.

- Jointly with the rest of the powerBI team, collaborate with Group Management, Finance, and operations to provide data analysis to answer business questions.

- Ensure the DWH transforms the data into usable and presentable insight.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the established data definitions match their expectations.

- With us, you will be leading highly prioritized projects to spread data accessibility and usage through data pipelines across the Vimian Group.

- Ensure a stable and reliable DWH that can deliver key financial data even during critical reporting periods.

Is this you?

- Structured and self motivated.

- Ability to maintain architecture while growing features and extending pipelines.

- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Data science.

- 4+ years data engineering experience as a BI developer or software engineer.

- Experience with Azure Synapse, Azure Devops, Azure Data factory powerBI. Or extensive experience with similar tools and a willingness and ability to quickly learn new tools.

- Expert knowledge of SQL, Cloud Hosted Data warehouse Management.

- Scripting knowledge.
