Friday is looking for a driven Embedded software engineer on behalf of Zound Industries who wants to be part of an exciting journey forward. Founded in 2008, Zound Industries is the company behind the production of Urbanears headphones and Marshall speakers that you've probably heard of. It is a global company with offices around the world and can be found in cities such as London, Paris, New York and Hong Kong. In recent years, Zound Industries' products have progressed from simple wired devices to connected and complex IoT devices. Today, they have ongoing projects and plans on developing products from concepts to mass production and they are therefore looking for the right person who wants to be part of this exciting journey forward.

JOB DUTIES:

As an Embedded software engineer at Zound, you will be a part of developing the hardware in their products as well as the software. You will belong to one team but have the chance to share and exchange knowledge in a cross-functional environment.

Your tasks can include:

• Develop the hardware in their products as well as the software
• Prototype and develop product concepts
• Technical evaluation, engineering reviews and quality assurance
• Supplier communication and development
• Testing and securing product

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• A college or university education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or similar acquired knowledge.
• Relevant knowledge and experience with C/C++ and python.
• Good understanding of Embedded software development.
• Strong knowledge of English, both spoken and written, as it is the core language of the company.

 It is not a requirement, but meritorious if you have:

• Proven professional experience based on examples of working with software- and product development or relevant side projects.
• Electronics knowledge.
• Knowledge of Bluetooth protocol.

For this role, great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. To both succeed and thrive in the role; you are a creative and driven person who likes to find solutions to problems. You should have a tinkerer mindset and like to analyze, experiment, and try new solutions. You can discuss and explain technical solutions and software-related subjects with non-technical people. ABOUT THE EMPLOYMENT:

This is a consulting assignment meaning you will initially be employed by Friday. The ambition is for the assignment to result in permanent employment at the client company after the consultancy period.
