UI Designer

We are seeking a User Interface Designer to join our growing design team in Gothenburg.

ECARX is developing a digital cockpit product from silicon to pixels, while at the same time defining our ways of working, our teams and our company culture. We are a young company full of talented people that thrives on taking initiatives, collaborating and problem solving.

What you’ll be doing

- As a UI designer, you'll take style and interaction requirements and apply them across multiple automotive brands

- You'll build wireframes showing specific features, their presentation, and their positions in the frame. Thus, you must know how to visually represent UI elements like CTA buttons, images, and menus for a straightforward user experience.

- Work closely with the design team to create a consistent visual language and user experience

- Contribute to the development of the next generation digital cockpit solutions for the automotive industry

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, both in Sweden and China, including product management, engineering, and testing, to ensure the design meets business and user requirements - we’re a team and will always achieve incredible results together

Are you our ideal candidate?

You bring a competency in UI, UX, HMI, Graphic Design or a related background. Using Figma, you work effectively in a collaborative team environment to create seamless navigation and user interactions within a digital product. You’re comfortable taking ownership of your work (but no ego) and priorities and have experienced working successfully within a Scrum framework. An interest or background in automotive industry or infotainment domain could be helpful but not required.

As a person, you are curious with a growth mindset, eager to learn and share knowledge as a valuable member of the team. You desire to grow and mature with the team while having fun, afterwork events and Swedish “fika” coffee breaks along the way. You are able to communicate clearly and effectively within the team as well as with stakeholders and customers.

We are an international company, so our working language is English. Knowledge of Swedish or Chinese would be a bonus! However, if you are still learning Swedish, we would be glad to support you in your journey.
