The Work You’ll Do:

Using the latest technologies such as Azure DevOps, Terraform, Kubernetes, the Senior Dev Ops Engineer works closely with Agile Development teams and SaaS Operations department to understand, analyze, and design quality technical solutions that support our Agile Software Development Life Cycle model. The Senior Dev Ops Engineer will design and implement multiple applications build, release, deployment, and configuration activities.

More specifically, you will:

• As part of a Sovos Platform Team, responsible for design & implementation of cloud environments to engineering teams, also responsible for driving DevOps, SecOps (shifting security left in lifecycle), SRE practices.
• Build & Implement the baseline, building blocks for different cloud services, security, automated pipelines, monitoring, logging, and observability of cloud platform.
• Design and implement the lifecycle of common Cloud, DevOps and Security tools used in software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Coaching engineering teams with best practices and ways of working in Cloud, adopting DevOps & Security practices, running Kubernetes clusters, data & analytics, machine learning workloads in the cloud.
• Collaborate with software engineers and product owners in achieving the best cloud development experience for engineering teams.

What We Need From You:

• Proven Experience in working with AWS services and delivering Cloud solutions at scale
• Proven Experience in Infrastructure as Code using for example Terraform, Puppet or Cloud Formation
• Experience in using one or more scripting languages
• Strong experience with CI/CD technologies, for example Azure DevOps, TeamCity or Octopus Deploy
• Knowledge in networking and related services such as DNS, Load balancing, CDN etc.
• Working experience of message queue technologies is highly valuable (RabbitMQ, Kafka, etc)
• Fluent in English
