The Vattenfall Group has approximately 20,000 employees. We have been electrifying industries, powering homes and transforming life through innovation for more than 100 years. We now want to make fossil free living possible within one generation and we are driving the transition to a sustainable energy system.

Job Description

Do you want to help us lead the transition into a fossil free future, and enable integration of more renewable power production into the European power system? Do you have a curious and analytical mind who likes programming and data analysis? Then we might have the perfect position for you!

We see a rapid growth both in our own wind portfolio and in the demand for smart energy services why we now need to strengthen our Nordic team in Wind- & Customer optimisation with a new talent.

Working at the intraday desk will give you a deep understanding about the fundamentals of the Nordic power market – the perfect introduction to our business. That knowledge will then be essential for your analysis- and business development tasks, where we expect you to be creative, take own initiatives and think outside of the box when developing new solutions and trading strategies. IT and data are integral parts of all our processes and in this role you will be introduced to data analysis, advanced forecasting tools and algo-trading.

  • Challenge established solutions and initiate new business improvements.

Qualifications

We are looking for a person with:

  • Relevant University degree of quantitative/financial discipline (e.g. Engineering, IT, Econometrics, Mathematics, Physics or similar)
  • Programming and data analysis skills (preferably in Python)
  • Business sense and a “trader’s mindset”
  • Flexibility and ability to keep many activities ongoing simultaneously

You need to be fluent in Swedish and have good understanding of English
