In the position as Junior Product Designer you will support our Creative Director and interpret her vision for every collection. This position is a one (1) year maternity cover with a good chance that the agreement will thereafter be extended.
ABOUT THE POSITION
To succeed in this role you must be passionate about Mini Rodini and understand our style and creative expression and have a portfolio that is stylistically relevant to the position.
The daily workflow contains to create and update sketches and artworks, join fittings/sample meetings and plan the design work according to a set timeline.
You will work closely with the creative director and the production team, but also with other functions in the company. The Junior Product Designer will be part of the assortment and production team.
Please note that we, in this case, are not looking for print designers or graphic designers.
The position is based at our Stockholm Office at Södermalm.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
• Interpret and execute products based on the vision of our Creative Director
• Thorough collection handover to production team
• Create and update sketches based on brief from the Creative Director
• Create and update print artworks based on brief from the Creative Director
• Set all colours based on briefs from the Creative Director
• Lead and coach the Design Assistant
QUALIFICATIONS
To be successful in this position we believe that you have the following qualifications and experience:
• Minimum two years experience from similar roles preferably within a premium brand
• Minimum two years of relevant design education
• Excellent knowledge and experience of working in Adobe Illustrator making product sketches and Photoshop making artworks for print/embroidery. Experience of working in CLO and Delogue is an advantage.
• Good sense of design with a strong eye for proportions
• Multi-tasker that can respond to changes quickly and prioritize workload effectively.
• Able to work independently with minimal oversight
• Personality who are prestige less, flexible, fashion conscious, independent, driven, structured and stress tolerant.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Swedish
