IT System Administrator

Avalanche Studios Group is looking for a Junior / Experienced System Administrator to join our team in Stockholm.

As the System Administrator you will work with internal second line support to our staff, and work towards our game engine team as well as the game production teams. The responsibilities Second line support including maintenance of internal and external servers and services in a mixed Windows and Linux environment, as well as our build farm.

You will be a part of the IT department together with our system administrators and our firstline technicians, while reporting to our IT Manager. In addition to that you will have an ongoing collaboration with our System Administrator in our New York and Malmö studios.

Required qualifications

- System administration in Linux and Windows

- Experience with OS configuration management tools, preferably Ansible

- Experience with containers and container orchestration using Kubernetes

- Experience with KVM-based virtualization solutions, such as oVirt / VMware

- Familiarity with Python and Bash scripting

- Familiarity with CI/CD (continuous integration/continuous deployment) frameworks

- Virtual Environment: VMware or oVirt

- Infrastructure monitoring experience in Zabbix or Nagios or OP5

- Excellent communications skills; both written and verbal English

Almost required qualifications

- Infrastructure Automation experience in Puppet or Ansible or Chef

- Knowledge of web servers, load balancers and proxy servers

Beneficial qualifications

- OS configuration management tools, preferably Ansible

- Cloud platforms, preferably GCP & Azure

- containers and container orchestration using Kubernetes

- Windows server experience: DFS, WSUS, MDT, WDS, SCCM & Intune

- Network administration: Cisco, WAN Optimization, Packet inspection, Wireshark or similar

- Programming / Scripting experience in SQL, Python, Bash or Perl

- Perforce administration
