We are looking for an experienced embedded software engineer who want to work in a team specialized in communication. We can offer you both fun and exciting challenges, skilled colleagues and the possibility to work in inclusive teams where diversity is of high value.


Who we are:


Our team at Electrics & Electronics develop embedded solutions for engines, transmissions, hydrogen and full electrical/hybrid powertrains for the complete Volvo Group. We work together as a team with the mindset to continuously improve our embedded software platform and framework. We have a goal to create an empowered workplace, where all our engineers are trusted to take decisions and to drive efficiency in our Powertrain Systems development. We are a global team, and you will join our core software development center located in Göteborg (Lundby area).


Your role in our agile team:


Work in an embedded software team focused on communication (CAN/LIN/Ethernet) with all phases of development - specification, design, implementation, verification, integration.


Contribute to infrastructure, tools and evolution of our Continuous Integration and verification framework and our Agile communities.


You are:

  • Open-minded, pro-active, provide ideas and drive them
  • Software Engineer with a BSc/MSc in Embedded Software, Electronics, Physics (or similar background)
  • Knowledge in programming real time systems in embedded C
  • Experience in python and working with test automation framework
  • Knowledge in CAN communication
  • Knowledge in Vector Com stack and AUTOSAR Classic - Basic Software (BSW) is beneficial
  • Proficient in communication in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Enjoying both teamwork and more independent lines of work
