Senior TCM ICT Engineer

About this opportunity

We at Ericsson Packet Core (PC) in Lindholmen are now looking for a talented ICT Engineer to join our team! Our headquarters is based in Gothenburg, but we also have offices in Stockholm, Shanghai and Madrid as well as strong dependencies to our operations in Budapest, Beijing and Bangalore.

At Federation Pluto we are currently looking for a skilled, self-motivated Engineer to work with our ICT environments used for test of our 5G Core portfolio. These test environments consist of multiple proprietary and third-party products or network elements which combine to work as a functioning and stable environment. They exist in both integrated versions with dedicated hardware as virtualized versions that run on diverse hypervisors such as OpenStack, VMWare, as well as Cloud Native platforms using Kubernetes. These environments are used by our test teams to verify and validate network functions during development or integration activities.

Our (your) team possesses a broad understanding of the test environment area, responsible for development, delivery and support. The team work according to scrum principals (cross-functional, self-organizing and highly independent) with a close collaboration with their Operational Product Owner.

What you will do

Together with the team, you are responsible for analysis and implementation of customer requirements, building as well as adapting product/system/network configurations and using system monitoring/troubleshooting tools to give best-in-class support to our stakeholders.

Within the above area you:

• Perform continuous analysis and requirement handling.
• Respond to technical support queries and provide solutions to stakeholders.
• Implement the technical solutions based on cloud technology including NFVi, Containerization, cloud platforms, cloud data centres.
• Plan and deploy Openstack/VMware/Kubernetes environments
• Create HLD/LLD for cloud solutions
• Troubleshoot cloud products and handle support cases
• Identify and drive improvements
• Maintain up-to-date documentation and user-guides
• Collaborate with other team members in different regions/time zones to drive task seamlessly.

You will bring

• Experience of deploying and troubleshooting virtual infrastructure solutions, e.g., OpenStack, Redhat, VMware, NFVI
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes container-based solutions
• Redhat Openstack RHOSP 8+ Certified will be plus
• Experience of handling various cloud solutions hardware i.e., Dell Power Edge server, HP ProLiant servers, Juniper switches
• Scripting & coding skills, Python will be plus
• Good understanding and troubleshooting skills in IP networking.
• Strong Communication, Consultative and Social skills
• Strong trouble shooting / problem-solving skills: the ability to assess a problem and resolve an effective course of action.
• Be proactive, self-motivated, and work independently
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
• Good command of Linux
• Good documentation and presentation skills

What makes you stand-out?

• Experience with Packet Core products
• Knowledge on Containers, docker, Jenkins, Mesos
• Experience with working according to Scrum

Minimum Qualifications & Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor/Master’s in Computer science, Telecommunications, or other related degrees
• 2-3 years demonstrated experience as an integration/technical support engineer in relevant field
• Good English language skills, both verbal and written
