Chiesi Research & Development:

Our Research & Development department represents a fundamental asset for the business. Your team fits within the Project & Portfolio Management functional area. The team is vital to provide the support and expertise needed to process information through digital technologies, research tools, reprocessed sources and analyses for the correct interpretation of data.

The Unit is heavily involved in the R&D digital transformation process both within the Digital coordination team and through collaboration with other departments within specific projects.

What we are looking for:

We are now about to double up our competencies within Data Science in our SKIR Data Science & Digital Technologies Unit by recruiting our second Data Scientist. This is an exciting role where you will support the analysis and provision of scientific information using advanced digital technologies. Our team interacts with many departments and functions within the company, which opens the possibility to engage with both internal and external. stakeholders to identify and validate impactful solutions. This means you will have diverse interactions and impact possibilities while contributing to R&D projects focusing on the development of innovative drugs.

Main Responsibilities:

- Development of Natural Language Processing workflows for textual analysis of documents.

- Using API and internal Data Integration to support the generation and application of a scientific Data Model.

- Scouting and implementing new digital technology solutions for information management.

- Generation of predictive Machine Learning models.

This role will be a part of the Stockholm office, but as your team is located in the company’s HQs in Parma, Italy you are free to work 100% remote from anywhere in Sweden. You will be invited to visit your team in Parma on occasion.

Experience Required:
3-5 years in a scientific environment in a pharmaceutical or biotech company, consulting company, research institute or university.

Education:
Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a similar technical degree.

Language:
English, fluent

Technical Skills:
- Python or other related languages
- Experience in agile methodology (non-specific)
