We are growing our app team and are currently looking for an iOS Developer to join our team working with the Volvo Cars app. You’ll be joining a team that values honesty, integrity, trust and thinks that work should be both challenging and fun. We are a group of skilled people, currently engaged in agile product development for the Volvo Cars app. The team is in Stockholm, Lund and Gothenburg, Sweden and this position is in Volvo’s Software Technology Centre in central Stockholm. We also interact with teams in San Francisco and in Shanghai. Many of the people you will be working with have experience from start-ups as well as global tech companies.

What you’ll do
As a developer in one of our product teams you will work with discovery and delivery of Mobile application experiences in an empowered product team. This will include rapid development of prototypes/concepts as well as regular product development to push mobile development at Volvo Cars to the next level. Your focus will be to enhance and innovate user services that comes as a part of driving a Volvo. You'll design and build applications for the iOS platform and ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. You'll collaborate with other engineers (working on Android, iOS and backend) to define, design, and ship new features as well as fix bugs and help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization. Your main focus will be working within a new initiative where Volvo Cars will create a new Direct to Consumer, premium insurance offer – the most personal, easiest to use and best value available for our customers. We leverage new technologies, business models, progressive partnerships, integrated seamless experience and data, to create competitive, hard-to-copy solutions. You and your skills
We are looking for a talented and passionate iOS developer with deep knowledge and experience of iOS, Swift, SwiftUI and UIKit. You are experienced with agile development and modern software tech company best practices. You write readable, maintainable, and testable code and have good knowledge of unit and integration testing techniques. You have a passion for making delightful user experiences, for learning and for pushing barriers. If you have experience in web/frontend development, that's great, but it's not a requirement.

We expect you to be easy to communicate with, open to collaboration, happy to help a colleague, and just as happy to ask for help when needed. We are growing fast and there are always new people that you will meet and collaborate, so we expect you to be comfortable building good relationship with people you meet.
