The Deceleration & Steering ART (Agile Release Train), is a part of Vehicle Platform. The Steering teams are responsible for the vehicle steering functions and we develop steering functions for conventional and AD controlled vehicles. We have both in-house and supplier developed SW solutions. We research future systems for our portfolio such as Steer by Wire and Rear Wheel Steering. We work with platform solutions where we aim to guide and shape the development on future shared platforms between Volvo, Polestar, Geely and Lotus. 

Main responsibilities
As functional developer you will belong to our In-house Software team. Your main tasks will be: 
* Developing Internal SW components for use in embedded systems by using model-based either textual based programming 
* Make sure the SW is quality secured according the development processes defined 
* Validate the SW in both simulation and HIL environments 
* Handle internal and external requirements from suppliers and stakeholders 
* Develop and maintain analysis and development tools 
* Perform activities and documentation for system safety 

The team is cross-functional, and you will be working in an Agile WoW contributing to the priorities in the team’s backlog. In order to deliver you collaborate with System architects and system teams within the area and you are interested in widening your competence as well as deepen your skills to best contribute to the team’s deliveries.  
Required qualifications  
* Master in Mechatronics or similar (Preferably with focus on control theory) 
* Working with MATLAB and Simulink in a group, cooperated in common projects. 
* Code generation preferably towards AUTOSAR 
* Analysis/Testing of Simulink models. 
* Vehicle Dynamics: Basic knowledge, experience in steering/EPAS & experience in driving on test track. 
* Control engineering: PID regulation, state estimation (Kalman filter) and filtration of signals. 
* Embedded systems: Basic knowledge & understand limitations in ECU:s. 
* Knowledge in C programming & AUTOSAR 

System safety: some experience in system safety. Know terminology such as ASIL-D, QM, Hazard analysis etc. 
Requirement handling:
* Experience in handling requirement in a structured way and engineering documentation as well as project and supplier management 
* Tools for testing and prototype development: CANalyzer, CANape, dSPACE, Car Maker 
* Tools for cooperation: GIT/Gerrit, svn, jira 
* Terminology: CAN, A2L, XCP, ARXML C 
* Fluent in English spoken and written) and have a driving license (B) and drives on a regular basis. 

Please note :The location of this role is either Gothenburg or or Stockholm

* Fully knowledgeable and able to work efficiently in Volvos Product Development Processes, Systems and Tools and according to VCC agile way of working  
* You enjoy teamwork, communicating and collaborating well with colleagues as well as suppliers.  
* You see solutions rather than impediments
