We enable & accelerate customer-oriented off-board telematics service development & delivery. Our solutions exist in Volvo Group products and in other products in the automotive industry in Europe, Asia, US and South America.

VGT Technology
VGT Technology drives implementation and improvement of shared platforms and common services for project deliveries and maintenance as well as research projects. The function is also responsible for component roadmaps and strategies. The responsibility includes the complete component, feature/services and product delivery.

IT Architect ? Platform Services Security team
We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Architect to join the Platform Services Security team within VGT/Technology/Services. The primary responsibility is: to make sure that the team successfully implement and deliver solutions, that are stable, secure, reliable, scalable, well documented, and of high quality. The Platform Services Security team is responsible for services related to Authentication & Authorization.

Key Responsibilities
As IT Architect you will be the technical leader for the team. Your tasks will include: coordinate and collaborate with others in analyzing collected requirements to ensure plans and identified solutions meet customer needs and expectations. Builds, confirms, and prioritizes project plans and deliverables with the Product Owner. You will create technical design documentation in support of new development, upgrades and enhancements. You should understand and master standard web practices to aid your team towards utilizing new technologies, engaging in appropriate project management & system development methodologies, as well as testing best-practices. As IT Architect you typically work together with an Information Security architect or other relevant competence to ensure the quality of the complete solution.

Desired Skills & Experience
You have a Bachelor or Master degree in computer science or equivalent training and experience:
You have proven experience building Java-based solutions for highly available and scalable systems
Experience in the design, development and implementation of front end and back end applications
You have experience of Java performance testing and tuning and an understanding of infrastructure
You are experienced in Test Automation and Continuous Delivery
You are experienced in Agile development methods
You are an experienced technical leader
Software Security Certifications, such as Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP) is a big plus
