Software developer

We are looking for an experienced software developer for agile work with C# in a role that both requires deep diving into specific problems and lifting the head up high to see the big picture. Work will be done for Axis production system in our team, Production Systems Test, here in Lund. Our team is an important part of Axis product development, and all Axis products are manufactured using our platform.

Who is your future team?
You will work in the Production Systems Test, a team of 12 audio, radar, PCBA etc. We are mainly focused on developing software used in our test systems, but we also take responsibility for how things should be tested, and how the software works together with the hardware. The tests are used in high volume production at our factories around the world, and every year millions of products are tested in our systems.

Our team is part of a larger division of about 120 engineers working with production engineering and technology, and together with our colleagues within electronics and mechanical engineering we develop and support production systems globally.

What you will do here as a software developer
You will work in a small team of 2-3 people with the development of production test modules, implementing the software needed to execute the production tests, defining the requirements of the hardware needed and order that hardware internally from our colleagues. You will also perform integration of the tests, making sure that hardware and software works together, quality assure the test to make sure it is reliable, and document everything before we deliver the finished test to our product development projects who will then use it when we start up production of our new products.

Who are you?
You are a software developer with a few years of experience. You are a curious, driven team player who likes to learn new things as well as being able to solve complex technical challenges in a team-focused atmosphere. We believe that you have a strong personal drive and get inspired by working in and creating an environment of openness, creativity, trust, commitment, and encouragement. You enjoy working with both software and hardware and bringing it all together. You should have a good ability to transfer knowledge to others. The ability to communicate is fundamental both within the project teams and in contact with our manufacturers.

You will primarily work in C#, .NET in Windows environment, but we welcome other programming backgrounds as well. We are looking for someone with a master's in engineering or equivalent. You love to produce maintainable code and master the chain from creative discussions, building code and stable incremental releases.

Your main duties will be:

Development of new software modules using C# .NET

Supporting product development projects

Working with continuous improvement of team ways of working, new tools etc.

Furthermore, you have:

University / college degree, preferably in computer science or equivalent. Other M.Sc. educations such as Engineering Physics, Electronics or Nano Science are also applicable

Knowledge and interest in programming since this role involves implementing code in C#

Good communication skills in English and Swedish, both in speech and writing
