UX Designer to search engine company

To our customer - one of the biggest and most well-known multinational technology company in the world, we are now looking for a data-driven storyteller who has experience within UX-design. 

As a UX Designer, you will be responsible for supporting cross-functional work with engineers, other UX designers, and product managers. Your main responsibilities will include generating prototypes in Figma, translating ideas and concepts, and visualizing and testing the designs. You will be working in a small team of three designers, covering the responsibilities of one designer who is on leave. You will be expected to possess good thinking skills, be able to present and explain your design decisions, and have high competence in prototyping and collaborating. Experience with animation and previous coding/visualization experience is a plus. You will need to work on more than one initiative and focus not only on solutions and prototypes, but also on understanding the problem and exploring different solutions. We need a seasoned designer who can hit the ground running and produce prototypes independently.

Responsibilities

- Complete end-to-end tasks independently that are integrated into an overarching project or program.
- Navigate project constraints with engineers and managers to ensure design quality achieves required results.
- Plan, balance, manage, and execute prioritized work, making progress independently to achieve well-defined design objectives.
- Independently make decisions that improve quality and/or consistency within a feature or project-level scope of work (e.g., process, team, deliverables).
- Address low-to-medium complexity design and/or user problems by leveraging established design principles and patterns.
- Proactively identify, define, and communicate problems within the project or product team(s), and deliver practical and/or creative ways to fix them.
- Recognize when the solution being proposed is not ideal and communicate with team leads to identify alternative solutions.
- Develop relationships with one or more team(s) and contribute to cross-project collaborations by planning, navigating, executing, and communicating user needs, constraints, and opportunities.
 -Provide training and guidance to junior UX designers.
- Integrate smaller teams where necessary to align assigned components of a project or program with the goals, timelines, and objectives of the overarching project or program.
- Utilize working knowledge of UX design principles, style guides, user-centered product development, user data analysis, and primary research methods and tools.
- Demonstrate proficient understanding of the impact of design contributions on product value, user needs, business goals, and brand equity.

This is a consultant role via Adecco, planned to start within immediate affect and will go on for 1 year.

Requirements

- At least 4 years of experience in UX design.
- Strong skills in generating prototypes, presenting work, and explaining design decisions.
- Experience with virtual meeting products and any end-consumer facing products is a plus.
- CV and portfolio are mandatory.
- Independently complete end-to-end tasks that are integrated into an overarching project or program.
- Hybrid work schedule (work from home on Mondays and Fridays, and from the office for the rest of the week).
- Two rounds of interview (portfolio review and a casual conversation).
- Ability to independently complete end-to-end tasks that are integrated into an overarching project or program.
- Must possess strong problem-solving skills and be able to recognize when a solution is not ideal and propose alternative solutions.
- Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to navigate project constraints.
- Must have experience working with cross-functional teams.
- High competence level of prototyping and collaborating.
