Java & Azure Developer

We are seeking an experienced Java developer with Azure experience to join a team at our client. The ideal candidate will have experience with software development in Java and Azure Cloud, as well as a strong understanding of object-oriented design principles.

Key experience and qualifications required

You must have all of the following experience and competencies which must be evidenced in your CV:

- Strong proficiency in Java programming language.

- Knowledge of relational databases such as MS SQL or Oracle

- Familiarity with Agile development processes, including Scrum or Kanban.

- Ability to use IBM MQ.

- In the area of test driven development, knowledge of Unit testing in Spring Boot and Angular, and in memory database testing using Mockito is valuable.

- Good knowledge of Azure Cloud is a requirement, the relevant areas are App services, AKS (Azure Kubernetes Cluster), SQL server for database, Azure Storage, Azure Container Services and experience of moving applications from on-prem hosting to cloud (Azure)

- .In the area of CI/CD practises, knowledge of Azure Repo, Azure Devops pipeline is also considered valuable.

- Understanding of software development tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Hybrid working, on-site 3-4 days a week.
