What’s in it for you?
Green Propulsion and Thermal management are increasingly important areas for Volvo Cars to become leading in Electrification. ART Thermal management have a key role in energy efficient propulsion by optimizing control towards customer functions and balancing attributes. The systems are getting more advanced and complex including different temperature levels, cooling down, heating up, transfer/transport and store heat for electric motors, battery, control modules etc. All this needs to be designed with sustainability in focus.

ART Thermal management is a part of the department Battery and Thermal within unit Vehicle propulsion. The ART is divided into three groups, TM System Development, TM Hardware and TM SW & Verification, working closely together. Our group, TM SW & Verification, have complete ownership of SW development in functional design, controls, diagnostics, calibration and verification. We are 20 persons with high ambitions, different ages, background and experience. We are characterized as an open and friendly group where everyone shares their knowledge with each other.

What you’ll do
ART Thermal Management is in transformation to a SW driven organisation. System testing is done in rig or vehicle. Flowrig is a rig where we develop and verify flow and pressure in the Thermal Management testing. We are now looking for an Analysis Engineer with experience from HIL testing that want to broaden by combining HIL with system testing. Functional development and verification of SW Control & Diagnostics are examples of what we do in Flowrig as HIL. 

Work is done in close cooperation with other ART’s, Attributes and Aspects. Within the ART you will work in close cooperation with our System architects, SW & Function developers, CAE and Component responsible. Challenges ahead are modularization of SW components, CPU efficient SW strategies and CI toolchains for verification of SW. 

Do you fit the profile?
You are eager to join a mechatronic ART and start in an agile verification team. 
To fit our diverse team, you need to be a team player that believes in inclusiveness. As a person you are structured, supportive and contribute with personal energy.

•    University degree on BSc or MSc within mechatronic, electrical or electronics, at least 3-8 year working experience within relevant field
•    Have experience from HIL testing and want to combine it with system testing
•    You embrace the challenge in making ART Thermal Management into a SW driven organisation 
•    Understanding of Continous integration tools such as GIT, Gerrit and SVN
•    Curious, structured, good analytical skills and a great technical interest 
•    Experience from SW development and System design within automotive development is meritorious 
•    Simulink, Target link, Python, C/C++ experience is meritorious 
•    Fluent in English (written and spoken)
•    Driving license (B) is needed
