Software Engineer with organizational skills

We are looking for a software engineer with leadership ambition who likes seeing the big picture and creating order in technical complex structures, to work with our productions systems in our unit Production Systems Software & Framework here in Lund.

Who is your future team?
Production Systems Software & Framework is a unit of 15 people. We develop systems that assemble Axis products, test them, and gather production data. This includes software in our machines, systems that help Axis keep track of the manufacturing in our factories, and systems to collect and create visualizations of production data. Our systems are up 24/7 with a central hub in Lund where all data is gathered.

You will be part of a team of six people, five developers and one tester. The work is carried out in collaboration with several different other software teams. This team focuses on the big picture and gathering components from different teams, optimize the code for better throughput and performance and implementing integrations between different layers to make it into a full system. Since our systems help different parts of Axis, it also includes a lot of collaboration with other departments and projects at Axis. Knowledge sharing and collaboration are key elements, as well as keeping the helpful and positive team spirit that this team is well-known for.

What you'll do here as a software engineer?
You will work with the software of production machines and create complete systems from different software components for the machine. You will work with the software lifecycle for systems and machines. This involves investigation of new technologies, ideas, and design, developing machine software, release of new machine and software to factories around the world, and the maintenance of existing machines. For this work there are possibilities to visit manufacturing sites around the world. In the role you will also be part of:

Code reviews to learn from and teach others in the team

Facilitate agile meetings such as standup, retrospective and demo

Work with releases and be release responsible
*

Programing software for systems for production machines

*

Use technologies as C#, .NET, TestStand, and SQL but also Python, in both Windows and Linux environments

You will be involved in influencing technical choices, our ways of working and contributing to new ideas on how to drive work more smoothly. We are hoping that you have leadership ambitions since the current teamlead and techlead wants to share the load.

Who are you?

You will lead agile meetings and work closely with the team and the techlead. You master the chain from creative discussions, building code and stable incremental releases as well as you see yourself leading and taking the extra responsibility of being the agile lead.

Leading teams, driving meetings, agile ways of working

You like writing user friendly systems with good quality and clear structure

Experience of system development in Windows environment, object-oriented programming, SQL, Git

It is meriting if you have experience of working in production and manufacturing with production systems.

You have a master's in engineering or equivalent.
