THE TEAM

The Software Operations team builds software that improves scalability, efficiency and productivity for our operations.

The goal is to enable us to multiply the number of Toptracer Range ranges through solid, cleverly designed and scalable software, from building web-based tooling for calibrating our systems to automating the provisioning of physical as well as virtual servers and network devices.

We are still at the beginning of the journey to automate bottlenecks in our operations through software. This means there is a lot of uncharted area in how to develop this clever and scalable software. With a solid background in the field, you will be involved in technical decisions within the team. There will be plenty of room to take an active part in the architectural and strategic discussions and decisions, all the while keeping a close relationship with the code.

THE ROLE

The team is now looking for a Senior Software Engineer. With a broad background in software development, you will be driving technical decisions within the team and taking an active part in the company’s overall architectural and strategic discussions around ensuring scalability and enabling growth. Day-to-day you will be writing code with the team.

THE STACK TODAY

• AWS and Docker for running and hosting backends and APIs
• Python for backend and general application development
• Flask for API development
• Angular and React for web frontend
• PostgreSQL for database
• Bash for general scripting
• Linux for dev as well as prod environments

WE BELIEVE YOU

• Have several years of experience and a highly collaborative mindset.
• Are great at knowledge sharing and have strong abilities in coaching the other team members in order for the team to best solve technical challenges that are presented to them, together.
• Have experience in deploying and maintaining cloud-based and distributed systems (AWS, CI/CD pipelines)
• Experienced in setting up testing and in test-driven development
• Experienced in backend programming (Python + Flask/Django/FastAPI) for Linux environment
• Are skilled in architecture, but still a passionate coder and enjoys working hands-on
• Can knowledgeably participate and contribute to architectural decisions and solutions, helping a small team manage a significant architecture

Application process

Our application process for interviews, currently all held remotely, consists of:

• 30-45min video interview/presentation of Toptracer
• 45min-1hr interview with Team Manager.
• 1hr Technical interview with a domain expert.
• 1hr interview with 2 members of the team.
