You will be part of our Developer Experience organization with the mission to create a great developer experience by providing platform products that support good work & productivity for our software engineers. For us, every software engineer and software team at Volvo Cars is a potential customer, and we are obsessed with understanding our customers and how we can assist them to be effective and productive.

What you’ll do
You will have an important role in supporting the observability stack used by application teams. The team works according to agile and scrum principles. As a DevOps Engineer, you will work closely with application teams to ensure application reliability and performance. We promote modern DevOps ways of working and are responsible for supporting shared DevOps toolchains at an enterprise scale. The assignment consists of development and operational work, including on-call once every 5th week.

Who you are
You have a bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent and at least 3 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, and have worked with Git Version Control. You are fluent in English both written and spoken.  We see that you have experience integrating and supporting cloud-native observability tools like ElasticSearch/OpenSearch, InfluxData, and Azure Monitor.  You enjoy working hands-on and have great problem-solving and debugging skills. You actively participate in discussions with stakeholders and members of your team. You are an expert in monitoring and alerting systems using ElasticStack, InfluxData, OpenSearch, and Grafana.  You have good scripting and automation skills, with experience in Kubernetes, Terraform, and Python. You also have experience working closely with application teams to integrate observability tools into the software development life cycle. We also see that you are familiar with agile development methodologies.

As a person, you are tech proficient, self-driven, outcome-oriented, and have a code mentality. You are resilient and a strategic thinker with enterprise-scale, developer experience, and micro-service architecture in mind.  You are an effective communicator, have proficient writing skills, and great ability to work in a team environment.
