Technical Architect for Integration Services

IT is a crucial part of this transformation as Scania’s success is depending on flexible and efficient IT solutions that support current and future business requirements.The section Enabling Services is a part of the Shared IT and Governance department at IT. Our mission is to be core in Scania’s modern digital ecosystem through providing software and services within design and integration.

The Integration Services group is responsible for providing the target integration capabilities, currently tools within API Management/Marketplace and Streaming. It is business critical and vital for ensuring that systems can exchange information and functionality on a daily basis. As Scania executes on our data-sharing strategy, the Integration Services Team is at the core of the sharing of this data throughout the organization.

We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic technical architect in the integrations area, with focus on event based Kafka Streaming services. We believe that our mission and the result of the work we do have a great impact on the future of integrations at Scania.

What you need to succeed

To succeed you will need a very good understanding of the business and the business value that we create.  

As a Technical Architect, we expect you to have a broad technical understanding, developer and architecture experience and strong communication skills with the ability to guide and advise our customers. You are able to promote our API First and Event driven architecture vision for integration transformation to customers, by designing, optimizing and offering a high quality, self-service Streaming platform. You have an agile mindset; are quick to adapt to challenges and learn from new experiences. 

As a Technical Architect:

• You have experience working as a technical/system architect, in the Kafka Streaming area
• Previous design & development experience using technologies such as Java, .Net, C#, Python, etc.
• Hands on experience with cloud solutions, preferably AWS
• Knowledge of different industry best practices in Streaming, API, Integration & Microservices
• Experience with container based technologies like Kubernetes, Docker
• Familiar with agile ways of working and DevOps
• Experience with optimization and improvement of the Kafka platform
• Also, you have to be fluent in English, our corporate language.
