At Volvo Group Electromobility, we are currently looking for a Data Engineer to join our fantastic Data analytics team.

What do we do?

We are the Virtual Product Development and Digital Services team within Electromobility, a dynamic section providing world-class solutions for Electromobility systems and delivering customer values for Volvo business units such as trucks, buses, construction equipment and marine applications.

Electromobility is one of the main development areas within Volvo Group and was created to be in the forefront of zero emission transport solutions for a more sustainable tomorrow.

What will you do?

You will together with your team build, develop, manage the Electromobility data pipeline including data collection of the complete product lifecycle, data quality, data preparation and processing. You will work closely with data analysts and Scientists as well as cross-functional collaboration with Data Engineering colleagues from different parts of the organization. Together you will make sure the data becomes available and is an accurate representation of reality.

You along with the team will be responsible for understanding customer usage and performance of our products and for providing our solutions throughout entire product life cycle, from idea investigation and concept evaluation to industrialization and to aftermarket and maintenance!

Who are you?

We believe that to be successful in the position, you are a curious and experienced Data Engineer. You are a creative communicator and a team player with a willingness to learn and take responsibility. You have experience working with Data Analytics and have the ability to understand a complex data infrastructure. We would like to see that you are up for the challenge of building the data infrastructure both for today and for the future.

We also believe that you have:

• A University degree within in Engineering (Computer science, Electrical sciences, Physical sciences, Statistics) or equivalent
• An extensive experience (10+ years) working within relevant fields such as SW development, Data engineering, Data analytics or similar
• Experience of working with
• Python
• Databricks
• SQL
• Spark
• Fluent in English, written and spoken
