Senior Solution Architect - Volvo Group Connected Solutions

The Position

As Solution Architect, you will be part of a Business Area team, working closely with some of our Business Partners, Digital Consultants and Business Portfolio Leads in dialog with brand representatives regarding their current and future plans and needs.

You will have a holistic view of the platform and consider the entire customer journey and how all technical capabilities can achieve value for both business and users. This includes how to re-use the platform’s capabilities in the most suitable way, as well as ensuring that new development will fit in to the platform and allow re-use for future services.

You will also establish and drive the long-term technical vision and roadmap for the brand’s solutions, as well as support your fellow Architects in the product teams in terms of brand specific solutions and needs. This also includes driving technical pre-studies and investigations as well as driving initiatives when applicable.

Although you will spend a good portion of your time with the Business Area team, you will belong to a Solution Architect team together with other Solution Architects, where each are working on different brands and different solutions. We help each other with big and small, such as presenting findings and problems to the group so we can support and learn together. As the expert in your area, you will act as mentor and teach others in your area.

• Several years of experience as Architect in an international environment

• A global and agile mindset with strong customer focus

• Capability to drive and lead a technical pre-study of an initiative

• Fluent in English - both written and spoken

• Valid work-permit for Sweden, if not EU-citizen

We believe that you will learn our technical platform on the job, but in short it is mainly an event driven micro service architecture running in AWS cloud. Java with Spring is the main programming language and we work with continuous delivery with infrastructure as code. User interfaces are either web portals based on mainly react or native apps on both iOS and Android. We work in a variant of SAFe with agile teams and PI plannings.
