Senior embedded SW designer

Qamcom is growing and we are looking for 100% remote Embedded SW designers for our new Qamcom Anywhere (https://www.qamcom.com/anywhere) office!

Qamcom is a specialist company making complex solutions. This requires our teams to take full responsibility from system design, architectural solutions through implementation and all the way to verification and validation on target. For this we are looking for experienced Embedded Systems Software Developer who will work with everything from rapid prototyping to in-depth product development, system design and implementation with strong focus on outstanding quality of the end result.

You will be part of a highly experienced international team and will typically work closely with our customers to identify requirements and needs, define a product’s functionality and do algorithm selection, implementation choices and life cycle considerations.

Baseline qualifications for this position:

- Minimum 6 years of experience of embedded software design or a PhD within a suitable field
- C/C++
- Embedded Linux

- Experience with Board Bring-up
- Fluent in English
- Located in Sweden with Swedish work permit (or citizenship)

- Experience in working remotely in distributed teams.

Familiarity with any of the following skills is also relevant for this position:

- Driver development

- Rust, Python
- Application layer functionality and frameworks (e.g. Qt)

- Yocto, Buildroot
- Security Critical Systems
- Systems Engineering and Architecture
- Domain experience within automotive or telecom/networking

- I/O protocols (I2C, SPI, CAN etc)

- Development of productiion testing systems
- ARM, RISC-V
- Digital Electronics and Hardware Design:
- CI/CD (e.g. TeamCity, gerrit)
