At Volvo Cars, we are making bold digital visions come true. We aim to lead in the automotive world by creating a digital ecosystem built around making our customers' lives less complicated. Now we are looking for curious, creative people who want to change the world through innovative thinking. We are looking for a Test Automation Development Engineer with a passion for cars and test automation for our cross-functional team.

What you´ll do
We are looking for a qualified senior test automation engineers to join our teams within CSEI (Complete Software and Electronics Integration). We need qualified test automation engineers with long experience from test development, preferable with ISTQB certification.
At CSEI we are working with full test automation that integrates with Volvos CI-flow (Continuous Integration). One part of our task is to carefully weigh the test scope against the level of automation possible for a certain test. Sometimes the optimal scope makes full automation very hard, and might even require manual testing, while a slightly changed scope might enable 100% automation. How to cope with such trade-offs requires experience with different aspects of testing and validation. Another aspect is to assess if a particular function should at all be tested at our complete integration level, or whether tests at domain-level is enough. The CI way of working means that, as mentioned, our tests shall be fully automated and possible to run unsupervised. It also requires that specific configuration, logging, and visualization features must be supported. Those are also aspects that we sometimes must deal with. Our test automation engineers, work with SW download, manual test, test automation, supporting delivering ART’s test requests (handling of our test environment to support their test needs), analyze results from our automation test scope, troubleshoot test environment and failed test cases, verify fault reports, visualize, and report results.
