Solutions Developer - Public Safety

The Company

At Saab's Public Safety division, we provide advanced technology solutions for governments and large institutions responsible for ensuring public safety. Our solutions include computer-aided dispatch, security/safety resource management, critical communication, physical security information management, and intelligent transport management to address various public safety concerns.

The Role

In this role, you will work to ensure that systems used by the public to reach the police's SOS services are always functional and run smoothly.

You will work with integration C# development, system configuration, and engage with the customer. The system you will work on, SAFE, is what the end user sees and operates in. Thus, you will have a lot of contact with customers. You will help them with workflows and how information is collected and best presented.

The role is broad and gives various opportunities for advancement, but you will always see the product used in saving lives and helping people as well as the police.

The Team

You will work with a team of eight people. You will report to Martin and Daniel, our project leaders, but have tight collaboration with everyone in the team. The product owner does QA, but we help each other with code review; the end product is what matters.

We collaborate internally within Saab, again to make the product as cross-platform-effective and end-user-friendly as possible. In the future, we hope to expand and help other police forces and emergency personnel.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
