About the job

The Techno Creatives will not bore you. We take on projects from our customers and develop them in-house with our designers, backend developers, strategists, and .. well... You. =) We merge the best of the consultancies (lots of new projects and challenges) with the best of product companies (togetherness and comradery with the people).

We generally work on small to medium-sized projects (max. 10 people). Some are external, like our various AI/ML plays, or platforms for automotive infotainment services, websites, AR, and a host of others. Some are internal, like our The Techno Creatives Originals series of projects with Elevate (our IoT platform).)

If you were here right now, you might be:

Working on creating new ways to interact with existing documentation and code - creating embeddings for documentation of a large code/docs base and trying to work out if the on/off-prem solutions are best.

Tinkering with IoT backends, trailer rental web backends, and cross-platform spell-checkers.

Shaping AI/ML Big Data real-time time-series predictions to do forecasting and increase observability etc.

But that’s right now. Half a year from now? Who knows what we'll be up to?

About you and the value you bring

As a Backend Developer with ML / Generative AI twist, Python is your weapon of choice. That said - you've dabbled in a range of languages across Linux, Mac, and sometimes Windows, as well as whatever’s running up there in The Cloud™.

Databases and API design
You're comfortable with databases and API design. You've been in a position to regret architectural decisions and have learned from them. Postgres looked like it was going to scale, but now you know better.

Packaging and deploying
Code is no good running on your machine so you know how to package it and deploy it to a server.

Debugging and troubleshooting
Once there, you can debug it and figure out why the heck it’s making 10 queries per second when it should be caching the results. Git and other command-line tools are your friends.

Generative AI
You like the new generative AI craze, but you're not a Kool-Aid drinker. You are curious about how we can learn from it when creating the best solution possible, as always.

After all - it's not about the tech - it's about what comes out of it. You don't want to sit in a dark room for weeks and come out with a 245B parameter model. You want to wow people. Today.
