Fullstack Software Engineer

At Epidemic Sound we are reinventing the music industry. Our carefully curated catalog, with over 40,000 tracks, is tailored for storytellers, streaming services, and in-store soundtracks. Countless clients around the world, from broadcasters, production companies, DSPs, and YouTubers rely on our tracks to help them tell their stories. Epidemic Sound’s music is heard in hundreds of millions of online videos daily, across millions of playlist streams, and in thousands of in-store locations. Headquartered in Stockholm, we’re spread across offices in New York City, Los Angeles, Seoul, Hamburg, and Amsterdam. We’re growing fast, have lots of fun, and are taking the music industry with us.

We are looking for two Fullstack Engineers to help us take our platform to the next level! The position is full-time and based in Stockholm.

How you will make an impact

As part of the product teams, you’ll play a key role in our mission to grow the global user base. You’ll work closely with other engineers, PMs and product designers to drive business critical projects, build new features and iterate old ones.

Your primary responsibility will be to build scalable and easy-to-maintain software, either by improving our web platform to deliver accessible valuable user experiences OR by designing and documenting APIs, microservices, set up monitoring and everything else that makes our systems reliable.

Whether you are a frontend or backend developer, you’ll make an impact by contributing with your expertise to an amazing product and the future of soundtracking.

What you’ll do

- Develop and maintain robust and scalable system integrations and processes

- Execute technical and product-related tasks to ensure the continuous launch of new improvements, for instance: localizations, subscription management, integration between web/app/ML

- Collaborate in and with cross-functional teams in a creative and friendly tech-focused organization

Conduct discoveries and experiments to enhance our users’ experience of the platform in collaboration with data scientists, product designers, researchers, and other teams

- Explore and develop future features and support, both for direct user interaction and for enabling internal stakeholders

- Collaborate in and with cross-functional teams in a creative and friendly tech-focused organization

What you’ll bring

-
Solid understanding of Typescript with React and/or experience with Python, Django or Kotlin

- A passion for our users, whether they are creators or artists

- Understanding of cloud-based web applications infra and deployment (GCP, Docker, CI/CD)

- Thorough knowledge in system integration and processes

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
