Software Engineer to Heliospectra!

JOB DESCRIPTION:  

In a new, modern office located in central Gothenburg, you will join a small development team with short decision paths and openness to suggestions and new ideas. Heliospectra offers you the chance to work with an interesting product in a dynamic market where we strive to be at the forefront of technological advancements. 

 As a Software Engineer you will be developing Heliopectras own software platform and the firmware for embedded devices connecting to it, creating the link between the hardware and the user. You will be taking on the responsibility for software development from the lowest level in the electronics, up to the backend level of the Linux based control system. You are a part of the development team and will be responsible for developing and deploying new features, updating, and maintaining existing software, and improving upon our platforms and architecture. 

 Some of your tasks will include: 

• Developing the software platform and firmware for embedded devices. 
• Establishing the link between hardware and user. 
• Engaging in software development at various levels. 
• Enhancing our platforms and architecture. 

IDEAL CANDIDATE: 

• Bachelor’s degree in a technological field, for example embedded systems or equivalent studies.  
• Strong knowledge of embedded development in C /C++, backend programming in Python, and experience with Linux. 
• Fluent in English and Swedish for communication both internally and externally.  

 Extra merit for experience in: 

• Backend/embedded software development. 
• Wireless systems ( Wifi, LoraWAN ) 
• Communication protocols ( Modbus, CAN )
• Network infrastructure. 
• SQL (Postgress). 
• Front end (React, TypeScript).

EMPLOYMENT:  

This is a consulting assignment meaning you will initially be employed by Friday. The ambition is for the assignment to result in a permanent employment at the client company after 12 month consultancy.
