Accedo is shaping the future of consumer TV/Video
You will be part of our agile mobile team working with iOS and Android to shape the future of consumer TV/video globally. The team does this through their amazing work with on a great product family called VIA GO.
VIA GO is the next generation of TV/video consumption apps interacting with another of our great products - AppGrid. In combination these two makes it easy to handle and control the UI and configuration of huge amounts of mobile clients in an efficient way. This is a true product offering targeting media companies and publishers across the globe.
What does an Android developer at Accedo really do?
You really know your way around Android. You want to work with cool TV/video apps in a small, efficient team. You keep up to date on the tech stuff. You like teamwork and want to help improve the work in an agile team. You understand how to handle performance factors in the client app, like large amounts of nice content, while still preserving smooth swiping, etc. Or perhaps you are great at most of these things and you reeeeally want to learn the rest?

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
-Significant experience working with Android and its support and design libraries
-Strong UI development skills in creating adaptive and flexible layouts for multiple screen sizes
-Experience developing apps driven by JSON web services
-Strong object-oriented programming and design skills
-Experience with Git
...and it's a plus if you also have experience from these areas:
-Streaming video for Android apps (HLS-AES, DASH, Exoplayer)
-Protocol buffers.
