We are now looking for a Senior Software Developer with a genuine interest in technology, programming, and scripting to strengthen the Continuous Automation Team (CAT) within SWPS DevOps organization.

The main responsibility for CAT is to provide and maintain automated test and development environments, both in software development pipelines and virtualized environments. The CI/CD environments are used by the BOS products in the daily work from development to customer delivery. The services are utilized by several organizations across multiple sites.

This is done by e.g improving the user environment, providing the necessary tools for the developers, shortening our Continuous Integration lead time via automated jobs to ensure fast feedback loops in general and being the interface towards the IT and test environment organization.

As a successful candidate you will work within this agile team, interacting with several of our software development teams within the BOS portfolio, to realize improvements and maintain the Continuous Automation environment, incl tools.

  • Work with continues improvements and drive towards modern technologies
  • Develop pipelines, tools and services
  • Perform trouble shooting and customer support

You will bring

  • Technical education at the university level or similar experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in software and product development
  • English proficiency, both written and spoken
  • Excellent skills in communication, both verbally and written
  • High customer focus with high accountability for delivering high-quality products
  • Have deep skills in software development
  • Have deep skills in programming in general. Meriting Python, JavaScript, Groovy
  • Have deep experience of Linux systems
  • Solid communication and presentation skills
  • Solid understanding of R&D, Lean, and Agile principles
  • Solid experience in Cloud Native technologies, e.g., Docker, Kubernetes
  • Furthermore, we believe you are curious, innovative, high own self-drive, and collaborative

Meritorious qualifications:

  • Have troubleshooting skills – which in its turn require to have hands on experience of signaling and platform (HW, Hypervisor, OS, 3PPs and APIs)
  • Have good understanding of infrastructure, networking and IP in general
  • Have experience in general tools and techniques: E.g. Docker, GIT, Jenkins, Maven, Mesos, MongoDB, MySQL, Kubernetes
  • Experience of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA, web services, REST)
  • Experience of agile development
