About the role
As a machine learning engineer in our engagement team, you will be part of an agile, cross-functional team creating an engaging experience for our customers when they have their energy solution installed at home. Your main mission is to develop creative solutions to minimize costs and reduce the emissions of our clients, directly impacting their environmental and financial sustainability.

You will work on creating ML solutions in their entirety, from brainstorming about the problems we are trying to solve to developing the models and productionize them. You will work closely with people all the way from embedded engineers to app design ensuring that our models can interact with the physical product, while also be simply visualized in the app.

Other responsibilities include:

- Gathering and analyzing data to drive insights and optimization
- Create and improve the method that creates our model
- Continuously improve our model focussed on client cost and emission reductions

What we would like you to have

Besides an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to deal with constant change, we would like you to have:

From a technical perspective:

- 3+ years of experience in machine learning and/or data science
- Passion for understanding problems and figuring out solutions
- Experience of working close with data engineers and aligning theoretical models with operational limitations

- Experience with GCP (Google Cloud Platform), AWS and/or Azure
- Deep understanding of data science models, down to the mathematical level
- Experience in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java

Nice-to-have:

- Scikit-learn and various specialized Python and ML libraries
- Deep learning frameworks such as Pytorch and Tensorflow/Keras

As a person, we would like you to be/have:

- A curious and collaborative person
- Have a technical depth that you can use to figure out creative solutions
- Have a general passion for data
