We work with diverse machine learning projects, collaborate and contribute to the data science practice to ensure that we have a solid foundation for SAS to scale and realize the full potential of machine learning.

We are now strengthening our team with experienced Data Scientists that will be mainly dedicated to work on optimization projects within Revenue Management and Network to strengthen capabilities in terms of advanced analytics to continuously optimize our business.

As a Data Scientist at SAS you will

As an experienced data scientist, you are the hero of the team. You will work closely together with the Commercial team of Data Analysts and System specialists in cross-functional projects within Revenue Management and Network, translating business questions into analysis requirements and data science use cases. You will add a new perspective into problem-solving by investigating the advantages of advanced analytical approaches to answer business questions and create business value. You will contribute to data-driven business to ensure a solid foundation for SAS to scale and realize the full potential of machine learning.

Your daily responsibility will include:

• Work closely with Revenue Management and Network departments to understand the vast amount of data and how it can be used to promote business development

• Identify and translate high-level business needs into defined data science projects, develop machine learning models and bring them to production

• Create new ways of working with advanced analytics, using existing and new data sources

• Design, implement and maintain machine learning models end-to-end in cloud environment

• Understand the business problem, challenge existing technologies, and find new areas of application for AI/ML

• Communicate data-driven insights and recommendations to business stakeholders

• Stay updated with the latest technology, algorithms, and methods within the data science area

To be successful, we believe you should have:

• Master’s Degree or higher with strong mathematics focus (Data Science, Statistics, Econometrics, Applied Mathematics, Optimization, Computer Science) or related field.

• At least 3 years of industry experience within Data science domain

• Proven record of taking on loosely defined problems and translating into practical application

• Strong mathematical background (e.g., linear algebra, calculus, statistics, optimization)

• More than 3 years’ experience with Python, SQL and popular machine/deep learning libraries

• Proficient with statistical- and machine learning models (both supervised learning and unsupervised learning)

• Well-versed in cloud computing, prior experience with Azure is a big plus

The position will be based at SAS HQ in Frösundavik, Stockholm.
