Resurs Bank is on a transformation journey to become a more competitive bank by offering our partners/customers better products and services. A key component in this journey is to make us more data driven and hence enable us to take more fact-based decisions to improve our business and stay compliant.

To make this happen we have recently launched a unit called Data Excellence and now we need an additional Data Warehouse Developer to enable us to take this forward - are you ready to take on the challenge to make this a success?

Get an idea of the role

As a Data Warehouse Developer, you will play a key role in managing our existing MSSQL databases while driving the transformation of our database environment to a more modern and scalable platform, utilizing technologies such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure the optimal performance, security, and reliability of our database infrastructure. You will report to the Data Excellence Manager.

The focus of the role will be:

- Manage and maintain existing MSSQL databases, ensuring data integrity, availability, and performance of code, tuning DB.

- Working with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT) and GIT/Bitbucket for code versioning, team collaboration and support DTAP (development, testing, acceptance, and production).

- Design, develop, and implement new database solutions to meet business requirements and improve overall system efficiency.

- Drive the transformation of our database environment to a more modern and scalable platform, leveraging cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud

- Be involved in data modelling, data integration and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure data consistency across various databases

- Collaborate with application developers, infrastructure engineers and other stakeholders to optimize database performance and ensure seamless integration with applications.

- Implement and maintain database security measures, including user access controls, data encryption, and auditing.

- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in database technologies and recommend suitable solutions to enhance the organization's data infrastructure.

- Participate in the planning and execution of database-related projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project requirements.

- Document database designs, configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides for reference and knowledge sharing.

- Develop and implement database backup and recovery strategies to ensure data protection and minimize downtime.

- Perform database tuning and optimization activities to enhance system performance and query execution.

- Monitor and troubleshoot database-related issues, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks, data integrity problems, and other technical challenges.

On a personal level

We believe that you possess the following qualifications.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

- 5+ years of experience as a Database Developer

- Strong knowledge of database management systems, data modeling, and database design principles.

- Experience in database administration, performance tuning, and optimization techniques.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and a strong willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.

- Proficiency in SQL scripting, stored procedures, and database query optimization.

- Experience with database migration and transformation projects is highly desirable.

- Solid understanding of data security, privacy regulations, and best practices.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet project deadlines.

- Experience working in an agile development environment is a plus.

Resurs Bank is an online bank with offices across the Nordics. Most of the IT organization is located in our offices in Helsingborg and Malmö. Working remotely is normal for us but we prefer that you are close to either Helsingborg or Malmö as you also need to be on site physically.

If you are not a Nordic citizen, a valid work permit is a must.
