Embedded Software Architect - Thermal Management

As an ESW Architect you will join the thermal Management team which is a department/sub-technology stream within Volvo Group Trucks Technology with the responsibility for developing optimized Vehicle thermal management system for all truck brands within the Volvo Group.

In this team you will lead long term strategy & implementation of Thermal management system with our system owners & Thermal system architects. We are responsible for the CAB climate feature for Volvo Trucks & manager functional safety, Cyber security & pro-active quality.

What will you do?

As an Embedded Software Architect, you will closely work with the software development teams to ensure the thermal system solutions & also drive the high-level structure of Software system, main software components & interfaces such as Application Programming interface, Modularization & Layers.

Your key responsibilities also include: -

• Defining controller implementation & the SW tool chain to use.
• General Architecture Vision considering Global Platform Products: Volvo Trucks, Volvo Bus, Volvo Construction Equipment (VCE), Volvo Penta
• Focus on – Performance, reuse, security & quality

Who are we looking for?

As a person, you can take own initiatives and drive them forward with a business and customer mindset. You have excellent communication skills & good at networking with people. You also have a positive attitude and adapt to changing conditions.

Relevant Experience:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in Embedded SW development within the distributed systems & Thermal management
• Experience from Automotive industry
• Good knowledge in Vector Autosar, Matlab, Simulink, C, C++ and Python
• Fluent in English, written and spoken

Applicants shall have M.Sc in computer science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar technical field of study or equivalent work experience
