Do you want to join our team developing both Hardware In the Loop (HIL) and Software In the Loop (SIL) automated test environments? Our growing organisation provides the test platform that will make a difference for the vehicles of tomorrow!

We are responsible for developing and maintaining the software that utilises the capabilities of our HIL and SIL environments. To be able to test the vehicle’s software, we develop and build state-of-the-art SIL environments and HIL rigs, that support a large number of truck and bus configurations.

The purpose of HIL is to test the software executing in the hardware. This is done by tricking the system and its component parts into believing it is executing in a real vehicle with all its dynamics. This is achieved using real-time execution of environmental models. With SIL, we can execute the same software but on a standard personal computer.

The group

The group consists of 2 teams, Test Automation Software team and Software In the Loop team. As the group manager I value an open mindset and in return I provide an open trustful working climate where you are given the opportunity to grow, and a team collaboration where every team member participates to find good solutions with a positive attitude.

Your task as a Software Developer

You will be a part of the Test Automation Software team, which consists of 5 software developers, and work in close cooperation with the teams who handle hardware and models.

Your task is to develop and maintain software executing in a dynamic real-time environment and
develop the HIL software to a modular platform that can support Scania´s project and function growth.

Together in the group, we all contribute to improving our processes and eliminating waste. We work with embedded systems for the complete vehicle which gives you the possibility to gain knowledge about all systems and new technologies, as well as a broad network within Scania.

Your profile

As a person, you have good communication skills and like to drive things forward together with others. With a positive can-do attitude, you find solutions even if the requirements are vague. You love to learn about new technologies and combine that with your experience and interpersonal skills.

You are a graduate engineer with some years of work experience. You have experience working with Python, C/C++, Java, Mathlab, or similar. It is a merit if you have experience working with control systems, hardware, or embedded software development. Experience working with automated test systems is meriting.

You are fluent in English, both written and in speech, and if you don’t speak Swedish you are eager to learn. A requirement is a class B driving license, C driving license is meriting.

We offer
