Software Engineer- With Cloud Interest- Axis Connected Device Services

Your future team
The line organization is responsible for the development of axis connected device services, which have strategical importance and are used by the majority of Axis customers and partners worldwide. Device services refer to the processes involving the provisioning and authenticating, configuring, maintaining, monitoring, and diagnosing connected device operating as part of a surveillance system. You will belong to a team consisting of 15 skilled and motivated engineers with great diversity and good team spirit.
What you will do as a Software Engineer:
As a Software Engineer- With Cloud Interest, you will work in an autonomous agile team of five engineers. Your main tasks will include to understand the requirements from product managers, you will design and develop, on Edge as well as on Cloud level. The main programming language will be Go, sprinkled with some Python. Cyber security will be one important aspect in your design and development work. This role has the possibility, at times, to go to conferences and customer meetings.
Who are we looking for?
We see that you are a person who love to work hands on and take responsibility for the tasks at hand. At the same time you are open to share and collaborate with others. We hope that you have energy and drive to contribute and learn, but still humble and easy to interact with. You are curious to understand the big picture and recognize the importance of networking with others inside and outside Axis.
Additionally, we prefer that you have the following background and skills:
* Bachelor or Master of Engineering in Computer Science or equivalent
* An agile mindset and understanding of DevOps and the value of early and automated testing
* Experience in working in Linux development environment using various tools such as Git and Docker
* Merit for experience with AWS cloud development
* Merit for experience with databases, SQL and no-sqls. APIs such as REST, GraphQL
