Senior Data Engineer

At Telia Company, you will have a key role in our group common Data & Analytics team and help us to create true business value through data and analytics and make Telia Company a more data-driven organization. To succeed, we need to shorten time to insight and build even more amazing data products. This is where we need your help.

Our team consists of data engineers, data analysts, data scientists, solution architects and product owners, working together in different cross-functional, domain-oriented agile DevOps teams building analytical solutions to for example TV & Media, Crowd Insights, Telia Finance, Connectivity and Networks to name a few.

As a Data Engineer, you will have a central role in implementing robust data pipelines and storage solutions that are capable of handling very large data sets – we currently handle over a billion data points per day in on-prem and cloud solutions.

Your Experience:

• Several years prior experience with Big Data, cloud platforms (AWS, and GCP), BI & ETL tools and technologies is a must
• Designing and implementing performance optimized and scalable data pipelines with cleansing, transformation, and loading via Spark, Scala, SQL is a must
• Experience in working with different forms of storage (e.g., HDFS, Object Storage, S3) and data formats (e.g., AVRO, Parquet, JSON, XML) is a must
• Experience in CI/CD, Aiflow and Github is must
• Experience in agile workflow and strong knowledge in DevOps
• Experience in developing ETL pipelines in GCP using BigQuery. Data flow and Data proc is an added advantage. Experience in Teraform configuration is a plus
• Exposure to Data Modelling techniques and working with Databases is a plus
• Data modelling, data governance, and BI presentation is a plus
• Master's Degree in Computer Science or similar field
