About the position

As a Technical Director, you will translate game concepts into technical design and define what is needed to implement client and internal requests, supervise production to ensure quality and progression on a technical level. Manages the code quality and improves workflows to improve the quality of our games and code. Mentor all levels of coders to improve overall career development of all coders at the company. You will be a central part of the pipeline of new projects and code development.

Starting date: ASAP, permanent contract after 6 months probationary period

Reporting to: COO

Location: working 100% remote from home in Sweden or Portugal, with the option for hybrid/in-office work at our Lisbon or Stockholm office. Discord and Slack are your best friends.

Work time: Full time, company time zone CET

Required Qualifications

Experience with programming in the LUA, C, C# or any other similar language.

Extensive professional game development and/or other software development experience (8+ years)

Experience within business oriented decision making

Experienced working as a team lead or technical director

Experience working with any cloud provider (Preferable Azure)

Excellent knowledge of code patterns and architecture

Good understanding of player experience

Experience with mentoring developers

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Finished higher vocational education in professional game development and/or other higher education within software engineering

Strong English required

Located in Sweden or Portugal
