Founded in 2015, Instabox is a Sweden-based tech company with the mission to make online shopping easier. In 2022, Instabee was founded after combining Budbee and Instabox - two leading last-mile delivery companies with three consumer-facing brands: Budbee, Instabox, and Porterbuddy. Instabee serves millions of consumers across Europe with convenient deliveries and is on track to become the leading European e-commerce enabler. Always with the merchant at heart.

We’re fast, both in terms of parcel delivery and when it comes to growing our business. So far our journey has taken us from Sweden to the rest of Scandinavia and parts of continental Europe, but we have no plans on stopping anytime soon. As we continue to expand, the complexity of Instabox grows in parallel. With that in mind, we’re now a looking for Senior Platform Engineer for our Stockholm / Oslo office to help us to govern our journey ahead!

About the role

As a Senior Platform Engineer at Instabox, you'll be working in an agile cross-functional team with a clear mission and problem-space to solve. All of our teams are highly collaborative and we’re looking for people who thrive on working closely with other engineers to solve hard problems. Together with stakeholders and product managers, you'll architect and build the platform and tools needed for our engineering teams to be successful. As a Senior Platform Engineer, you're expected to be familiar with at least one of the big cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and how to use it to best effect in building applications.

Our engineers make some of the most important decisions for the company and our products. We’re looking for people who want to get things done and have an impact. Our main mission is to support other teams with the tools and know-how to build great products, the challenges are not just technical - what we do is very much connected to how the business wants to grow and how our engineering teams are growing.

It's an engineering role in a hyper-growth tech company, with all that it entails - building solutions where the need for scale can grow very quickly, but not over-engineering since we do not know upfront what products will take off.

About you

At Instabox we value individuals who are keen to learn, and your eagerness to develop your own skillset will undoubtedly be your strongest asset when joining us. If you're a skilled problem solver who loves coding and making complex things work, then this is the place for you. Beyond that we imagine that you have some of the following points on your resumé:

- At least four years experience in a backend role

- Extensive experience with Google Cloud, AWS or Azure

- Understanding of modern application architectures, and the associated tradeoffs

- The team has a supporting and pedagogical role in the organization, so well-honed verbal and written communication skills in English will be used
