In 2022, Instabee was founded after combining Budbee and Instabox - two leading last-mile delivery companies with three consumer-facing brands: Budbee, Instabox, and Porterbuddy. Our Finance Tech team, working on one of our core processes - ensuring accurate and timely invoicing for the services we provide, is now looking for a backend developer. We are on a journey to revolutionize Last Mile deliveries, and your contribution will be vital in supporting our growth and success.

The team

The team operates with a high level of autonomy, giving you the opportunity to make a significant impact on our systems and processes. Your work will have a direct influence on our company’s ability to generate revenue and drive growth.

You will have the chance to work closely with senior leaders, advocating for our solutions and explaining the rationale behind the development decisions we make. We expect you to articulate your ideas effectively, backed by sound reasoning and data, to influence and drive the adoption of your proposals.

Responsibilities

- Build and maintain stable systems that guarantee seamless and error-free invoicing, enabling our company to operate smoothly.
- Adapt quickly to changing requirements and be flexible enough to incorporate new products and services into our invoicing processes.
- Continuously assess and challenge existing assumptions, seeking opportunities to optimize systems and streamline processes.
- Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging technologies, evaluating their relevance to our team’s objectives.
- Take ownership of your work, ensuring the quality and reliability of the systems you develop.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of backend solutions with other components of our tech stack.
- Champion the implementation of innovative solutions that enhance our invoicing processes, aligning them with the company’s strategic vision.

About you

At Instabee we value individuals who are keen to learn, and your eagerness to develop your own skillset will undoubtedly be your strongest asset when joining us. If you're a skilled problem solver who loves coding and making complex things work, then this is the place for you. Beyond that we imagine that you have some of the following points on your resumé:

- +3 years experience in a backend or fullstack role in a modern Tech environment
- Experience with JavaScript/Node.js
- +1 years of experience within financial services or a strong interest in the financial sector
- PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB experience (or equivalent database technologies
Basic understanding of Terraform and Debian/Ubuntu (any Linux distro would apply)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
