Your Role and Responsibilities

The Engineering Competence Centers team’s vision is to enable our delivery project teams around the world to develop and test software, get rapid feedback and deliver on their commitments towards our customer with a traceable, measurable, and low maintenance scalable toolchain.

You will work with cross functional teams of professionals based in Umeå, Stockholm, Canada, India and the US within the Market Technology business unit. The team’s mission is to deliver state of the art technology for Nasdaq Real time Clearing System to numerous customers around the world, using a rapid agile development process with quick and easily consumable feedback loops.

In the role as Senior Software Developer, you will be involved in the whole development process, from design study to implementation as well as maintenance and support. You will work on system architecture, design, backend, and frontend development.

We need you to help us leverage what you learn every day to the benefit of the team and our client.

You will contribute with your experience and recommendations to standups, planning sessions, retrospectives, and stakeholder meetings.

What You Will Bring

University Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.

A few years of software development experience and very good knowledge of Java (java 11 and later) with a passion for well tested and clean code.

A curious, positive, and solution-oriented approach.

A true teammate and great communicator.

Passion for driving development efficiency through championing automation, agile processes, observability, and self-service.

Excellent working proficiency in English.

It would be great if you also bring one or more of:

Financial industry knowledge.

Knowledge in agile development methods and how to best support them.

Use of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.

Experience in issue tracking and shared documentation practices.

Knowledge of Cloud based solutions including technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Experience working with build tools like Gradle, GitLab, Sonar and Jenkins.
