About the Role:

As a Data Scientist at Energy Director AB, you will be instrumental in redefining the Nordic energy market. You will have the opportunity to utilize your skills in machine learning, optimization, and backend development to contribute to market forecasting, energy problem-solving, and technical innovation.

Responsibilities:

Market Forecasting: Employ advanced machine learning techniques to create accurate energy market forecasts. Utilize historical data, external factors, and market trends to predict supply, demand, and pricing dynamics.

Optimization Challenges: Tackle optimization problems related to energy distribution, resource allocation, and load management. Design algorithms to maximize efficiency and minimize costs while ensuring a stable energy supply.

Robust Backend Development: Build and maintain a reliable and scalable backend infrastructure to support energy-related problem-solving. Ensure efficient and effective computational capabilities for the team.

Agile Collaboration: Embrace an agile working methodology and collaborate closely within a small, dynamic team. Contribute your expertise to a collaborative environment that values innovation and efficient problem-solving.

Data analysis and problem solving: Analyze complex energy datasets to extract meaningful insights. Identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities to enhance operational decision-making and market understanding.

Energy Market Expertise: Utilize your experience in the energy market, particularly within the Nordic region, to provide valuable domain insights and context to your data-driven solutions.

Qualifications:

· Master's or Ph.D. in a relevant field such as Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics.

· Proven experience in developing and deploying machine learning models for real-world applications.

· Proficiency in programming languages like Python, R or similar.

· Strong understanding of optimization techniques and practical implementation.

· Prior experience in the energy market, particularly within the Nordic context, is highly advantageous.

· Enjoyment of agile methodologies and experience working effectively within a small, close-knit team.

· Familiarity with backend development, database management, and cloud platforms.

· Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.

· Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
