Expert System Developer

We are looking for an Expert System Developer the scope of the consultant services is to assist LINUX/OPEN-sources and automation.

The scope of Services

- Given the rapid evolution of technology in this field, it's vital for a distributed systems engineer to stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and methodologies. We are looking for someone who is passionate about the technology and is always looking to learn new things.

- The main objective is to secure CI/CD pipeline with monitoring tool -> Install and Configure Prometheus, Grafana using containers.

- Be a part of the development, piloting of core infrastructure solutions through automation and self-service capabilities in our warehouses.

- You will develop new Infrastructure platforms and establish the needed dashboards for visualization of our service metrics such as usage, cost and compliancy to ensure our efficiency.

- Ensure and review systems compliance towards Business requirements, legislations, or policies

- Take responsibility for cooperation and align key stakeholders throughout the Group with interdependencies towards Group Digital to develop Product/Service design and technical roadmaps

Requirements:

- Computer Science Fundamentals:

- Understanding of algorithms, data structures, and basic computational theory.

Networking- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, load balancing, network routing, and latency issues.

System Administration:- Ability to manage and troubleshoot Linux servers, handle user permissions, storage, and network configurations.

Scripting:- Proficiency in Bash, Python, PowerShell, or other scripting languages for automation tasks.

Distributed Systems Concepts

Scalability:- Knowing how to scale applications horizontally and vertically.

Replication & Sharding:- Distributing data across multiple nodes while ensuring data consistency.

Fault Tolerance & High Availability:- Designing systems that can handle failures gracefully and maintain uptime.

Open Source Technologies:

- Configuration Management:

- Tools like Ansible, Chef, Puppet, and SaltStack.

- Containers & Orchestration:

- Familiarity with Podman, Kubernetes, and related container technologies.

- Monitoring & Logging:

- Experience with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana). Experience with other alerting platforms (Nagios, Zabbix, etc.) is a big plus.

- Contributions: Contributions to open-source projects and a familiarity with Git flow (forking, branching, pull requests, etc.)

- Virtualization & Hyperconvergence:

- Hypervisors:

- Knowledge of technologies like Nutanix, VMware, and Xen.

- Infrastructure Management:

- Tools like OpenStack, Nutanix, or VMware vSphere.

- Storage Virtualization:

- Concepts like software-defined storage, object storage, and familiarity with platforms like Ceph or GlusterFS.

- Development & Automation:

- Programming:

- Proficiency in at least one programming language like Go, Python, C/C++, or Rust.

- Infrastructure as Code:

- Utilizing tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.

- CI/CD:

- Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment tools like Jenkins, Github Actions, or Travis CI.
